As I write this, Dallas is dealing with a deadly shooting in response to a “Freedom of Speech” exhibit that featured pictures of Mohammed.

New York City is mourning the unprovoked shooting of a police officer.

Baltimore still simmers from riots over a suspicious death with “sympathetic” riots popping up in major cities all across America.

Riots in Tel Aviv erupted overnight over a similar incident.

Violence seems to have become the answer for almost every offense. I suspect that as God’s Word continues to be shoved further in the background in our society, restraint will be further loosened.

Long ago, King Solomon noted: “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.” (Ecclesiastes 8:11).
